Presentations & Reports
Health Studies students engage directly in research activities in local communities as well as internationally. Our students have produced reports and papers that contribute to our understanding of the factors that make communities healthy. Health Studies students have also participated in conferences around the world, such as the World AIDS Conference in Mexico, where their research and has been presented. Students have also presented their work to agencies at City Hall in Toronto, thus contributing to health and social policy within the City of Toronto.
The Health Studies Program holds their Annual Health Studies Research Symposium where students present their work to the University community and to the public. The plenary speaker at the Health Studies Symposium, chosen by the Health Studies students, is a distinguished academic or community leader
Through donations by the Faculty at the University of Toronto, we have initiated the Tommy Douglas Distinguished Speaker Series (click here) in Health Studies. This stellar group of academics lectured in Health Studies courses and also gave public talks on the campus of the University of Toronto.
Your contributions to the Health Studies Program will ensure that we can continue to mount public events, host outstanding academics as well as to provide a forum for public engagement and learning.
